Yankarlo Munoz is a junior at Jimmy Carter Early College High School and serves as a reporter for the student newspaper. He recognizes the importance of journalism and values its ethical principles. Being born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, Yankarlo has a childhood similar to that of most of his classmates. He has contributed to the student newspaper and hopes to do more. Most of his leisure time is spent on either exercising or reading. His initial goal is to graduate from high school with an associate degree. Apart from school, Yankarlo used to play the trumpet and seeks to learn to play another instrument in the near future.
