When discussing his plans, Emmanuel Infante, a 10th-grader at Jimmy Carter, showed confidence in pursuing his dreams and in focusing on personal growth through what he enjoys most.
He said his decision to attend JCEC came from a desire to get ahead in life and take advantage of early opportunities.
“I decided to come to this campus because of the opportunity to advance in life earlier,” he said. “I also wanted smaller classes, and with the consolidation of the early college, I think it’s fine because I get to meet new people.”
When asked about his future career, Emmanuel said he is interested in pursuing a career in science or biology. However, he has not yet decided on a specific job in that field.
Currently, Emmanuel’s major is interdisciplinary studies, but he plans to change it to biology because it aligns more closely with his future career goals. He believes his major will strongly benefit him in the future.
“Yes, absolutely, it will help me a lot in getting started on my career and preparing for college or university.”
Outside of school, Emmanuel enjoys playing games in his free time.
“I like playing volleyball with my friends and sisters. I also like drawing creatures,” he added.
When asked what makes him unique, Emmanuel reflected humbly.
“I don’t think I’m unique,” he admitted.
“I know everyone is different, but I still want to find what makes me stand out from others, and hopefully it’s something good.”
One of the achievements Emmanuel is most proud of is being part of JCECHS.
“Because, well, yes, it might not be a big achievement for some,” he said, “but for me it is because it’s not easy, not the classes either, to be honest, yet I am still here,” he added with a smile.
As for his personal goals, Emmanuel keeps things meaningful but straightforward.
“I don’t have many personal goals right now other than the common ones—passing my classes, doing my homework, and so on,” he said.
“Maybe next year my personal goals will be better and more meaningful for myself.”
Emmanuel Infante’s dedication and self-awareness show that he is already on the right path toward a bright future—one guided by hard work and passion.
