Following a hard-fought game under the Friday night lights, freshman Javier Rodriguez walked down the line to offer a handshake to the opposing team at La Joya Pack Stadium on Oct. 15, 2026. Despite the match’s emotional ups and downs, Rodriguez kept his head high and showed true respect for his competitors. Moments like this remind everyone in the stadium that high school athletics are about character just as much as the final score. His quiet display of respect set a strong example for both his teammates and the fans in the stands.
