While many students are exploring traditional career paths, Akira has set her sights on entrepreneurship, driven by a desire to lead and make independent decisions about her future.

Akira, who expressed a strong interest in becoming an entrepreneur, said one of the main challenges in pursuing this path is taking risks without knowing the outcome. She noted that entrepreneurs often face financial difficulties, fierce competition, and moments of self-doubt.

“Staying motivated can be hard when things do not go as planned,” Akira said. She added that building a business requires long hours, patience, and a strong mindset. “Yo, you’re getting yourself out there.”

When asked what qualities are essential for entrepreneurial success, Akira highlighted determination, confidence, and creativity. She emphasized that entrepreneurs must stay focused even in the face of setbacks and that leadership and teamwork skills are also valuable. “Great entrepreneurs believe in their ideas and are willing to work hard to make them happen,” she said.

Akira’s passion for entrepreneurship stems from her desire to be independent. “I want to do what I believe is best for my business,” she said. “She wants to lead and run what happens,” she added.

Entrepreneurs can also play a critical role in improving their communities, Akira said. With plans for a fashion-based business, she aims to offer high-quality, affordable clothing in a wide range of sizes. “She’d have to use good quality, make clothes affordable, and make sizes for everyone, overall making life better,” she said. She noted that small businesses often foster community and support local economies.

On the topic of creativity and critical thinking, Akira said entrepreneurship offers the freedom to explore new ideas. “They can think differently and experiment with new products or services,” she said. “Creativity is not only fun but also necessary for a business to stand out; it’s our art,” she said.

For Akira, the greatest reward in building a business is the ability to provide for others. “There is a sense of pride that comes from creating something from nothing,” she said. Financial success is part of it, she added, but the deeper accomplishment lies in making a difference and inspiring people.

Long-term goals like financial stability, personal growth, and leaving a lasting legacy motivate many entrepreneurs, she said. “Money and being stable,” Akira said, when describing what drives her.

Balancing business and personal life can be difficult, but Akira believes strong time management is key. “Entrepreneurs need to plan their days carefully and make time for family, friends, and rest,” she said. Setting boundaries and staying organized help maintain a healthy lifestyle while running a business.
