The Future Business Leaders of America organization club are preparing for its area competition this upcoming January.
FBLA prepares students for careers in business through academic competitions, leadership development, and educational programs. This competition is the first step into going to the state competition.
“A member that reached out to me told me the experiences she went through when she went to the FBLA competition, and that got me interested,” FBLA club member Valerie Segovia said. “They had so much fun in the competition, and it made me want to join.”
Having twice as many members as last year’s term, the school’s FBLA coach, Jennifer Garza, is prepared for the competition.
“I always tell my students that even when you are nervous, be confident in your abilities, have good voice projection, and let your charisma and personality shine through so that the judges remember you,” Garza said.
