New Semester
The new semester has begun, and both students and teachers have returned from winter break. With both this and the spring semester of college beginning, many students have things to say about these courses.
The students have different views on the return to school from their winter vacation. Many are not thrilled with the return as they wished the break had lasted longer. Despite this, there are still those who are glad to be back in school for various reasons, such as getting to see their friends more often, as student Kayla Castaneda stated, as well as doing something rather than staying at home doing nothing.
When asked about what they think of their schedule, students had different views on the topic, with some liking their schedule and others having less than positive reactions to it. Many were disappointed to be stuck in classes that they didn’t want to be in the first place and lament the fact that they can’t change it for another class or get an off period.
College classes are a significant part of the school year, and many students are taking them and are just beginning this week. The students have had varied reactions to the beginning of these courses that range from positive to negative. When asked about what they expect from their classes, many students stated that they expected a challenging experience from the classes but still expected them to be fun. Others have said that the classes are too complicated, and as such, they don’t particularly care for the classes. Others still have expressed the fact that they don’t care about the classes or never cared for them in the first place.
The new semester brings promise to the entire school, and as much as some may be unhappy to be in school, it is still essential and may impact the rest of their life.
