Building a better tomorrow for himself, Rodolfo Sanchez is a sophomore at Jimmy Carter Early College High School (JCECHS). Rodolfo is a hard worker and wants to help others. Rodolfo shares how he prepares for college, does his schoolwork, and enjoys activities with friends. 

Rodolfo is a student who cares about the future. He wants to be an engineer and make the world better.

He said, “I want to help the world become a better place, and for me to do that, I need to become an engineer.”

This shows he has big dreams and wants to help his community.​

Rodolfo works hard in school. He prepares for college by having a plan.

“I’m preparing for college by managing my time correctly and making sure I have time to do my studies, have fun with my friends and family, and also have time for band,” he said.​

He makes sure to finish school assignments on time.

“If the assignment is due that day, I do that one first, then I work on the ones that have a later date,” Rodolfo said.

This helps him stay organized, complete assignments, and avoid falling behind.

Rodolfo likes to be busy. He joined the band in sixth grade and still plays music.

“Some extracurriculars I have are band, and it really helps me improve my teamwork and creativity skills,” he said.

Rodolfo has been in the band since he was in 6th grade. 

One of Rodolfo’s favorite memories is movie night at school.

“My favorite memory so far at Jimmy College was the good life because I spent time with my friends and watched the movie,” he said.

Rodolfo likes spending time with friends and having fun.​

Outside of school, Rodolfo likes to spend time with family and friends, practice his instrument, and play video games.”

Outside of school, I like playing video games like Fortnite and The  Legend of Zelda”.

Rodolfo cares about helping people and balancing school with activities and family. He gives good advice to other students.

“Manage your time correctly, make sure you can balance your academics with fun and family,” he said.

Rodolfo shows that anyone can work hard and have fun at the same time.

Anthony Flores is a 10th-grade student who serves as a Photographer for RedGoldNews. Assigned to the class, he takes on the key responsibility of capturing images for the publication, a role he particularly enjoys due to his interest in working with cameras.

His primary skill set lies in photography, and since joining the staff, he has expanded his knowledge by learning the technical workings of a camera. He believes his time on RedGoldNews will help him build essential communication skills, which will support his future goal of attending college to become a Registered Nurse.

Outside of school, Flores's interests include boxing. His personal favorites include the movie Planet of the Apes and listening to the music of Drake.
