The Beta Club and Senior Class students at Jimmy Carter Early College High School recently organized a successful Fall Mercado for both students and staff. The event took place on campus during school hours, featuring a variety of food and activities.
Beta Club sponsor Mrs. Torres and the senior class began decorating the school with vibrant colors at the start of the week, with the help of her students.
“Every year, I look forward to decorating and transforming the school for the Fall Mercado, and love seeing all the organizations and students come together and enjoy the Mercado,” said Mrs. Torres
Students from all grade levels and clubs participated in the event, selling food and offering a variety of activities.
“ I was happy to participate in the Mercado for the last time, and packing up felt great knowing we sold all drinks for the senior class,” said Alexa
Students had a great time bonding with friends and enjoying the food that they purchased.
“ I was happy to be able to participate in the Mercado and got to experience it with my friends one last time,” said Zahara
By the end of the Mercado, all grade levels and clubs had raised money to support their activities and events throughout the year.
“ It was so much fun being able to participate and raise money for future senior activities,” Alexa said
