Journalism Team wins big at Juarez
The journalism team is comprised of freshmen Dominique Brown, Juniors: Lean Lopez, Laura Chavez, and Michael Del Angel. Students compete in up to five journalism centered events that evaluate their critical thinking, writing, copy editing and revising skills.
For the team going to these meets is an opportunity to scope out the competition in their district and size them up. Carter’s team is hopeful that once they compete at the district level they will take one of the top three spots and advance to compete at Regionals this year.
Del Angel advanced last year during his first season on the team and hopes that this year he can advance in more than one category.
