STC / Carter Update

Attention DE Students

ALL dual credit students (new and returning) must successfully complete the mandatory Online Student Blackboard Orientation.

Below are key items to keep in mind when sharing information with your students.
Orientation will be available on the students Blackboard Platform (only the student will have access)
Students must use their STC credentials to log in (same username and password as JagNet)
Orientation course will be available on Monday, August 24th
Deadline to complete the Orientation is Friday, August 28th
Orientation has 5 modules and will take approximately 2 hours to complete
Students do not have to complete in one sitting.

The Dual Credit Staff will be monitoring the student progress and will provide a report regarding students’ successful completion. Furthermore, students will be receiving a Certificate of Completion, which can be downloaded and kept for their records.

Early college students to compete at STC sports tournament

South Texas College will be hosting its annual sports tournament at the Pecan campus on Sat., Nov. 23. The tournament gives early college students an opportunity to participate in sports activities at least once a year. Students must be passing all their classes in order to compete at the event.

Students formed teams and began practicing in each of their respective sports a month before the tournament. Competitors from different early colleges will compete against each other in volleyball, three versus three basketball, and soccer.
